The moral side of sleepingin with children
Now I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get sick of Michael Jackson and the kids. I seem to be the only person in the world who has concerns about the fact that Jacko surrounds himself with kiddies, sleeps with them in his bed, and dangles them out of windows, despite a sexual abuse case brought against him in 1993 which he subsequently wormed his way out of, using his vast wealth to wriggle free.
Now he's come out on an ITV television show saying he doesn't see anything wrong in sharing his bed with kids, claiming it is their choice to sleep with him, and that nothing is sexual about it. According to newswire Sapa, Jackson appeared on a show entitled "Living With Michael Jackson", in which he claimed his relationship with children was totally innocent.
"We go to sleep with the fire on and I give them hot milk and cookies. It's very charming and very sweet. It's what the whole world should do," Jackson said on the programme. "Why can't you share your bed? The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone. It's a beautiful thing. It's very right, it's very loving. Because what's wrong with sharing a love?"
Now is it just me, or does this smack of serious paedophilia? There's nothing wrong with "sharing a love", because it just feels right. Come on!
What really gets to me is the fact that everyone seems to blithely accept the rantings of this sick madman, whose entire house is dedicated to children, complete with fun park, toys - the whole bit. It's put down to "eccentricity", and "those crazy stars", but to me it just looks like one fat excuse to indulge his twisted, paedophilic fantasies.
There's no denying the fact that the man was one of the biggest influences on music and culture in the eighties, and as such an iconic figure deserving of his place amongst the stars, and in history. But it would seem that fame and wealth are the perfect cover for whatever perversions you have, and as such nobody is prepared to do anything about you.
